Traveling along route 40 in the direction to San Martín de los Andes, the entrance to the Espejo Chico campsite and Lake is about 20 km from Villa La Angostura, a few meters after you pass the Ruca Malén River and Bridge.

From the entrance point you´ll follow a stretch, gravel road accompanied on its left side by the incredibly beautiful Ruca Malén River, which connects the Espejo Chico Lake with the Correntoso Lake flowing  under the Ruca Malen Bridge.

The old bridge over the Ruca Malén River, was the bridge of the previously road, and is today part of the Seven Lakes road History.

On the other side of the bridge, is the Ruca Malen Hostel, built in the 40s, abandoned for decades.
