When entering the Isthmus of Quetrihue, 100 meters from the access, the path forks to the right where a stepped path begins that leads to the “Arrayán” viewpoint.

The panoramic view of Nahuel Huapi Lake exhibits from this point 3 of its Branches: the Machete, Rincon and Ultima Esperanza; also the Brava Bay, the Fray Menéndez Island and the spectacular Andes Mountain Range.

Continuing along the path, on the left, there is a second viewpoint: called “Messidor ”  , which offers a privileged view of Mansa Bay, and you can appreciate the Messidor residence.

Entrance to the Arrayanes Forest

To get to the Arrayanes Forest, first of all you have to reach the Ports area. There you´ll find the Isthmus,  that connects the Peninsula and the continent; this is the entrance point. To reach the forest you will have to walk 12 km. On the way you will be able to see native species of the Patagonian Andean Forest, the hull of an old small farm, and the Patagua lagoon.

At the entrance of the Arrayanes Forest , you´ll find the National Park office, where the entrance is paid. On the property there are public bathrooms and adapted bathrooms.

Both to the right and to the left of the Isthmus there are beaches with lifeguard personnel during the summer period.
